Sharing books with babies and children is fun! And it helps them get ready for reading. Anyone can share a book - parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters, babysitters, friends. When you read and talk to children, you help their brains grow just like you help their bodies grow when you feed them good food.

A Colorado Storytime includes read-alouds of childrens books along with literacy tips. It includes different types of short books, in English and Spanish, with colorful pictures, related in some way to Colorado through publisher, author, illustrator or theme, and read by Colorado personalities.

This material was produced and is copyright 2009 by Friends of Food For Thought, a 501c(3) that focuses on early childhood literacy. Our mission is to help children-at-risk learn to love books and reading. Users of the material are hereby licensed to make copies for the public provided they do not change the contents or charge for copies.
