HEATH LEDGER HONOURED AT 2008 AFI AWARDS

This tremendous tribute by the AFI (Australian Film Institute) gives Heath Ledger much deserved and long overdue recognition. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE AFI FOR HONOURING HEATH LEDGER SO BEAUTIFULLY. Watch the crowd pay their respect with a standing ovation and Heath's mother, father and sister accept the AFI award on his behalf. Note: The award is being presented by Michael Caton (lead actor in 'The Castle').

I know i already said thanks but watching this again i felt the need to say something.i read some of the posts here & i agree with you theres no doubt he did a fantastic job as the Joker however his body of work started yrs before that film.maybe some just saw him for the 1st time but others who call themselves fans, i wonder have they seen Clowning Around, Roar, Paws or Black Rock or his breathtaking work in Candy, Monsters Ball & The Four Feathers? Two Hands! So many. Heath was a genius <3

Without him as the Joker, The Dark Knight wouldn't have been nearly as good. He was so into the role, he had the perfect voice for the character, and he was just an excellent actor overall. I just can't believe he's dead. When the sequel comes out, the Joker better not be in it at all. Any replacement would just be a disgrace after we've seen Heath Ledger's amazing performance. <//3 He will always be my favorite actor of all time. RIP Heath!

I love Heath ledger so much!!! He definitely deserves this award! He did an amazing job as the joker. He was an amazing actor in all the movies he was in. He left us too quick. I know that he knows that he won this amazing award...he won more then 3 awards for this 1 part. That's an accomplishment. R.I.P Heath Ledger I love you!!!!!! =D
