damn im a red wings fan, this is the way i see it. Wings were better in 08, Pens were better in 09 theyre both the same until they meet agian. End of story!!!!

@sjpoynter i'm a pens fan and the wings were better in 08 and 09. the pens i feel just got lucky enough to win. look at game 5 when detroit won 5-0. no one in pittsburgh thought we were gonna bounce back. the pens just sucked it up and won, and I'm sure glad they did. but the wings definitely were better, more so in 08.

@Runnerguy2489 The Penguins were playing against a Red Wings squad that had an epidemic of injuries of absurd proportions.
Hossa, Datsyuk, Holmstrom, Cleary, Franzen, Lidstrom, Rafalski, Ericsson and Lilja were all injured. All but Lilja played injured, but having your top two defensemen and five of your top six forwards---of the top two lines, only Zetterberg was playing uninjured---playing with serious injuries makes things difficult.
The injuries made the difference in the series.

Them Red Wings are the shit, you gotta admit to it sooner or later? Honest;y they are by far one of the best NHL teams alive! Detriot is hockey town and legends have came out of Detriot. I think Hossa has his priority's all fucked up and he didn't do jack for us in Detriot, he reminds me of Federov, all about the damn money, I hope Chicago does horrible this year.
