  • Wow! This was amazing!

You did an excellent job on this! Very nice cinematography, great story, great editing,... it's just perfect! It sometimes reminded me a bit of the Coen Bros and even a bit of Stanley Kubrick! Very very great job!

By the way what camera did you use?

  • @murifilmpictures That is high praise indeed *Dane gives a small humble bow* I am truly pleased that you thought it came out so incredibly well :-)

As you might have seen in another comment (but seriously who reads those right? I surely never do, lol :-) ) we used the "Canon T2i" its a really decent camera, you just have to handle it carefully because it has a rolling shutter and as such you can get some really weird artifacts if you have to much rough motion in a take ;-)

  • @Sfinksfilms Cool! It's really an amazing short! Love it! Great job!

Ah you shot it with DSLR's, I thought so... I really love the cinematic look! What lenses did you use?

  • @murifilmpictures we used a super cheap 18-35MM lens (IE the one that comes with the T2i if you buy it with a lens) for 90% of the shoot, and at one point a friend of mine threw me a 70-200MM lens that he has. We used the 200MM lens for the shot where the soldiers and Pam come running up over the top of the hill in slow motion

  • @murifilmpictures I meant 18-80MM lens, not 18-35MM lens, don't know what I was thinking lol, any way we used a super cheap 18-80MM lens

  • This was excellent! You guys did an awesome job.

  • @BotticelliSandro yes it is a new one :-) I managed to scrape up the money needed to purchase a "Canon T2i" and at one point Julius brought out an insanely awesome 200MM lens, sooooooo..... we had a lot of fun toys to use on this shoot :-)
