The Seeburg Encore Library was introduced in April 1963 for use in bars, lounges, and restaurants. The music in the Encore series was jazzy and included many fine instrumental solos, as always by uncredited musicians. Encore records featured extended frequency response, and a wider groove cut than the other series. Consequently, the playing time per side was considerably shorter, about 31-33 minutes at 16 rpm. The Encore records were very heavy on Sinatra songs, and most included more than one. Here is a medley of three songs associated with Ol' Blue Eyes, from Encore 11. Contact me for MP3 CDs of Seeburg music.

Well, this music would certainly fit in with the series, 'Twin'...if they could get the rights to use it.

Thanks for the info in your description. I had no idea that the Encore collection featured extended frequency response, and a wider groove cut than the other series. Now I have to get to transferring my Encore records to mp3. Check out my Seeburg Demo record video from 1960!

Yes, I can see a typical "two-martini crowd" in some ritzy joint, blowing air (and their dough) while this is unwinding in the background. The conversation probably turned to which of their secretaries they're going to take home for the evening, "while the wife is out of town visiting her old lady"....
