Guangzhou city is the capital city of Guangdong province. It is the first city opening door to outside world on 1978 in China.
Located very near to Hong Kong, Guangzhou people share the same language Cantonese with Hong Kong people and the same culture.

This city is one of the most wealthy city in China with 10,000 USDs GDP per capita in the year of 2006.

Guangdong province's GDP(GROSS DOMESTIC PRODUCT) in 2007 is 390,000,000,000 USDs, ALREADY exceeding Singapore, Hong Kong and Chinese Taiwan(323,410,000,000 USDs) and is ONLY half of South Korea's GDP(826,000,000,000 USDs).Guangdong province is also the NO.1 economy powerhouse in China followed by Shandong, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
If compared Guangdong Province's GDP with 200 countries in the world, Guangdong ranks 21.

Guangzhou is also famous for its wonderful variety of food especially sea food.

The peasants in the coutryside around Guangzhou USED TO migrate en-masse to America but that migration has come to a virtual halt as the peasants don't need to go to America anymore as there are so many opportunities around Guangzhou now.

In turn hundreds of thousands of Americans are getting visas to China because of the economic opportunities in China.
