@annihilatedsin my guess is that is a french hooker which at the time that they had the gallows where very...um popular. particularly with the guards which kept a lot of em off the chopping block.

I love the waaaaaah-waaaah futurey transition music in this. It reminds me of old science videos we used to watch in high school. Except that if we'd seen THIS video in high school, we would've been totally into it, unlike those old science videos.

With every so-called "missing link" that ended up being a fraud, what's this evolution thing he keeps mentioning?

great synth work

Great quote intro. It's kind of interesting watching the old guard talk about this since I can see where they failed to understand things that may not have even been known at the time they were confronted with the concepts. I'm reminded of Tetris, of all things.

Great quote intro.

This 'extended life expectancy' thing is bullshit...
They make it sound like we've slowed the aging process down
The reason the numbers are going up is because in the middle ages people would shit in a bucket and throw it on the street! That was a disease problem, which would have been equally solved by not living so close together.
People living to be 100 years old is not new, and as for people living longer than that, how the hell would we know? No one was keeping records!

I'm not against Transhumanism but do we want to be cyborgs? we must develop ourselves only through genetic modification otherwise robots will have higher intellect than we and predictions from Terminator and I, Robot will become true. look at statistics, computers are developing geometrically, unlike us. so we have to speed up our evolution. but it's impossible without completely united world under one constitution and democratic government, and in turn it's impossible without enlightenment.

Good video but it seems pretty dated, I'm guessing this was made in the mid 90s. We're well on our way to a post-human state, just check out Jesse Sullivan.
