Time 1652. near nashville Tennessee piloted by reeves the plane crashed in an area of thunderstorms into dense woods 10 miles south of nashville en route from batesville to nashville. it took 2 days to find the wreckage. pilot error. VFR flight into adverse weather conditions. his manager Dean Manuel. also killed.

Raptor Eagle rocks! (I mean strums and sings well!) I had many fun years recording songs with him back in the early 90s.

Jim had actually made audio contact with the Nashville airport tower operator, who was trying to steer him around the storm. Jim's last transmission to the tower was at 4:58 PM, when his plane disappeared off the radar screen. Marty Robbins, who was in his back yard, heard the plane crash, but of course, had no idea who was in the plane until later.
