Every saturday morning at 9 AM we provide a special kid's tour for any children under the age of 10 years. This is a great experience for the kid's as they come face to face with tigers, lions, leopards, cougars, bobcats, lynx and more! The tour lasts for about an hour and they get to learn about the cat's individual histories, as well as the species in general. The tours provide a different experience to visiting a zoo as you are only a few feet away from the cats! So you get to hear the tigers "chuff", lions ROAR! and the cougars squeak!

  • does BCR do breeding or do you fix all of your animals?

  • @MooCow354 No we do not breed, this would be adding to the problem of big cats living their lives in cages, instead we can use our resources to rescue animals and work towards better laws regarding these animals :)

  • why isn't zabu with the other tigers?

  • @lpsabi She was rescued along with Cameron the male lion, they were living together and must have been raised together from a young age so they got along. Any cats we rescue that are living together we try and keep them together so they have some companionship, so we fixed them both and they share a 2 acre enclosure :) Tigers are solitary by nature as are all cats except lions, so if we introduced Zabu to another tiger they would have fought.

  • lol omg cameron, i cant see him but i sure can hear him!! zabus so pertty:) i hope i get to c her one day!

  • Hope you make it to the sanctuary some day too, thanks for watching!

  • Godd , camerons roars scared me a little

  • It's great to instill love for all animals at an early age.

  • Thanks for the comment, I think the kid's really enjoy the tour at Big Cat Rescue compared to zoos etc.. where they are behind glass most of the time.

  • This is such a wonderful way to educate the youth!

It's great to see kids exploring the world of big cats in such a great, positive environment as opposed to a zoo or a circus!

    =)
