  • @MyNameMightBeBen Why do you believe there were so many more rich people just 8 years later?

  • But in the pre-Reagan tax system, the government took $19 billion out of $36.2 billion; over 50% in total taxes. After the Reagan tax cuts, the government got $99.7 billion out of 353 billion; about 28%.

So over all, the Reagan tax cuts resulted in the government getting proportionally less money (there were 7 times as many "rich" people in 1988 than 1980, but the government only got 5 times as much money).

The tax code is flawed, but tax cuts still inevitably result in less money.

  • Dan Mitchel is awesome!

My school is trying to start up a Youth for Ron Paul organization. I would love if Dan Mitchel would come as a guest speaker.

  • All government is a tool of social engineering. Anarchy or fail.
