Lama V3 coax with double swashplate

modified Lama V3 helicopter with double swashplate to control the upper rotor with a 90° phase shift. a mechanical mixer combines the cyclic pitch and the flybar....btw, it´s just a proof of concept ;)

So you have collective on both blade sets? Neat idea, does it offset the additional weight?

the additional weight was no problem, but the whole mechanic was too stiff and not precise enough. i don´t have the machines for a better implementation, but maybe someone else give it a try :)

so in the end i cancelled further testing...

can someone plz make a video to show how to dismount the swashplate and the metal center hub for lama v3? or just to show me? i got the parts but i dont know how to put em on

very nice work mate... so u seem to be the first few people that came up with this dual swash design.

now several Lama die-hards succeeded implementing this mod. I for one, have a really good time flying my lama outdoor now. much better control authority, making it a different chopper~

Anorakksche? is there any chance you could knock up an assembly for me please? i would really like to try out this idea on one of my coaxis but know full well i dont have the skill to make one myself

also, do you think fly bars w/paddles on each rotor (instead of a gyroscopic weight flybar) would help?

its a shame the coax heli producers (or the 3rd party upgrade makers) don't come out with a high quality dual swashplate upgrade

how do you figure out how to manage the counterrotating blade positions the swashplate has to give it for uniform cyclic pitch?
