When you're getting your first mission, the other character says "I hope you follow this sentry better than you've followed order so far." Is this an allusion to Doom 1's background story? From what I understand, the player in Doom 1 was transferred to Mars because of his poor behaviour in the military on Earth.

@TheTot actually he got demoted by his superior officer, who was ordering him to shoot a civilian. He refused and got demoted to mars.
