  • received by email: Jackie I thought you did a wonderful job and had a super relationship with your your filly. Wish I had known what you know when I started mine. All the best. Sue (Spain) L4S

  • @mysticpasos Thanks Sue. I'm having so much fun with this filly. She clearly thinks that being ridden is great fun since she comes gaiting up when I call. She can freeze when uncertain, but if I am passively persistent in the proper position, she will always make a try. I want to retain that lovely confidence and enthusiasm from my special girl.

  • Looks like my Oldenburg-a bueaty. Annamaria

  • @apicollo They share the same soft eye now that I've seen Velvet's photo. I played with and rode Maia today at our play date and she did great. She had a little melt down at the beginning with all the strange horses arriving but settled down. Closing gates is still new to her, but she figured out closing the round pen gate and walked down to the pasture and into the arena like a grown up horse.

  • I too raise my 4-legged kids,3-4 generations later. I am older now and watching Maia, be so trusting and gentle expressing her cooperation it is beyound wonderful. Jackie, You have shared so much and I have applied it in my journey. My situation is a bit different here, but our dreams are the same. Thnx for sharing.

  • @pattishowhorses Wow, thanks for the lovely compliments Patti. Glad that you were touched by my Maia girl. I'm blessed to be living my dream with horses.

  • @mysticpasos horses are beautiful animals.... beautiful beautiful BEAUTIFUL.... i dont understand why japanese slaughter 80% of the retired race horses.... this video proves exactly how much a horse (old/ young) can demonstrate when given the chance to....

i live in hong kong and i used to ride in english style but not anymore....... :( i missed horses

  • Thanks Georgina - She is a beauty, isn't she and as lovely inside as out.

  • Awwww she is goegeous!!!! ;D ♥

  • @HorsecrazyMichelle Thanks. Maia is a beautiful filly but I am blown away by the level of happy cooperation and harmony she is demonstrating with me riding her. She is a second generation imprinted foal. Multi-generational trust, plus her life time of natural horsemanship creates a beautiful soul - those amazing soft eyes and happy expression at joining her mother in the adult activity of carrying me. I feel honored by her trust and harmony during our first rides together.
