The Chaser's showed us how leadership of Hillsong Church makes money by manipulating people. This is a regrettable fact. Many pastors serve mammon. The Chaser has just ridiculed that.

Okay people, you all have the right to your opinions and do I, so I will give mine. I've had the opportunity to meet some great christian artists/worship leaders and some haughty ones. As a worship leader, believe me, I know them when I see them. I met some of Hillsong United and talked to them for a bit, some of the most humble, God fearing musicians I've ever met. And I know others who know them personally, and they have always said the same. Just saying, be careful how you perceive people.

Last, there is no free in this world- hate to say this but its really true----

The chair you're seating in church is not free. The heater or the air conditioner in church is not free also-- somebody has to pay that-- so if you are not giving then who else will support?

Again, when Christian bands esp Hillsong asked an offering, we shouldn't be stingy because they used a place and it wasn't free and there you are enjoying the presence of God singing & praising! You benefit, you better give!

Third, ministry means work, there has to be worker since there are works to be done. Those who are vacuuming the floor, preparing food, caring the children, etc.. somebody has to do that oder? And that's why its called ministry ( you do it with a right motive and out of love for God.

@TENBolt: Second, love gifts & offering should be given with a willing heart (that's why its more than a 10% because it shows how much you love God- that's sowing into His kingdom). We should be stingy in giving especially those who are preaching which YOU benefits (if you are a Christian, you should questioned about giving because you will be blessed surely). @TENBolt: I want to make it clear to you- everything that we have in this earth belongs to God, we are merely an steward of everything ( money, clothes, shelter, food, phones, jobs, health..etc) Now, when you are earning ( remember, you can't work if you are sick and God is the One who provided that jib so you will earn and He blessed you with good health so you can continue working) first that 10% you're talking belongs to God, not yours ( not a giving but a word "return")...

@graziedankesalamat No. Hillsong prey on the weak and desperate - promising them a better life of prosperity. To get this life - first they have to give 10% of everything they earn to the church. Second they then need to give over and above that - 'love offerings'. Third they need to volunteer their time to the church doing all the 'ministry' shit jobs. `

It is the church's success that has historically opened hospitals, orphanages, & done most of the social wealth fare that the world has seen. It is easy to throw stones when a person attacks something from the wounds they have experienced without once ever offering up a better way to do this. We are seeing the fastest growth of the church today. It would be foolish to think that there would be no opposition to this & that satan would not try to belittle the very thing the world comes to emulate.
