#27 Cadences : How to play and recognize a Cadence

In this lesson I explain what a Cadence is and the different types of Cadences. I also play them on the piano so you can hear for yourself how these Cadences sound. Remember! A cadence is like a punctuation mark but for music instead of language.

I think that you got confused between the half cadence and the imperfect cadence...the "authentic cadence" or "perfect" cadence goes from 2 to 1 or 7 to 1 always ending on 1 in the soprano and bass; The imperfect cadence would have scale degrees such as the 2 being in the soprano going to the 3//what does that mean? 1 3 5 are the scale degrees of the "I" chord, and the 5 7 2 and sometimes 4 are the degrees of the V chord or V7 if the 4 degree is added.

hey do you have some videos on cadences for minor key but in traditional harmony? I really like traditional harmony but I know nothing when it comes to minor key so please :)
