Toad In The Hole

Dominika and I like to cook for each other different dishes from our own countries, tonight it is my turn, and I chose that traditional english dish, Toad In The Hole. (No toads were hurt in the making of this video!)

This is how you make it ...

Mix a cup of flour to a beaten egg and a cup of milk, pinch of salt and pepper and leave to stand for half an hour. Meanwhile prick six sausages and cook in the oven for 20 mins on the highest setting, then whilst the fat that has run from the sausages is hot and sizzling, pour over the batter mix and return to the oven on a medium setting fot 30 mins or until golden brown and well risen. Serve with your choice of veg, I like brocoli and cauliflower baked in the oven with a cheese sauce, but onion gravy is good too.
