There is so much crap put out on this subject it is beyond crazy. Start with this question: can we rely upon the NT as a historical document(s) or not?  I do not only mean the Passion Narratives but the MANY-like dozens of passages outside of the PN showing the antimony between Jesus and the Scribes and Pharisees--more than ample evidence of their motive to kill Jesus or have him killed. If the NT is only anti-semetic fables then the question is not even worth discussing.
