Hey Seb "there is only one God and there is no other apart from me there is no God" his words not mine why don't you read the Gospel of Jesus Christ find it in the book of Mark and have the assurrance sang about here.
It took me 48 years not believing because I never actually read the the truth and the truth will set you free.
Not church or religion but the truth about God become man to die for those who did not deserve it, but that is love not that we loved him first.
