That was actually a Nicker. It's a friendly sound that horses make when they are comfortable.

I'm no specialist but I think this noise he made is not really neighing because neighing is intended to carry long distance in the outdoors, whereas indoors when his owner is close he just needs to "talk" in a low voice to be heard, so that's what we've got here. He's probably saying "hello Love, nice seing you ."
