Goal4Africa

Sappi supports Goal4Africa, a charity soccer match on the occasion of Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday. The match took place at the Allianz area in Munich on 12th July 2008, under the presence of the German chancellor Dr. Angela Merkel and many ambassadors and representatives.

The 97-game, veteran Brazilian national player, two-time world champion, three time world-soccer player of the year and 1997 world goal-scorer of the year Ronaldo, led an all-star team composed of superstars. They were challenging the all-star team led by the 86-game, veteran Dutch national player, four-time UEFA Champions League winner, Intercontinental Cup winner and FIFA Club World Cup winner, Clarence Seedorf.
