Hardstyle turning into Nu-style is like if you liked a very nice brand of vanilla ice cream. Then suddenly, some corporate fat cats come in and change the taste to strawberry, but violently enforce the fact that "it's still vanilla - now buy it!".

It wouldn't matter if both could exist and thrive equally :/ It was so weird when I kept a small break from the hardstyle-scene for 1-2 years, came back and I was SURE an online store "had the genre wrong" when checking new hardstyle.

@AmericasTeamNFL agreed. But listen to qlimax 2004 - 2008 its not nu-style.. so holland WAS good in hardstyle. I totally agree but not all dutch people screwed up hardstyle.
