Dexford Valley Railway - Summer Saturday Service - July 2011

The Summer has started on the DVR! We are running three seperate trains everyday until the end of August all headed by steam locomotives however there are also special evening trains running on some days too, like todays video!

Today saw the first of the new 'Strawberry Special' trains, these involve a 1 or 2 coach train headed by a small loco in the evening where we serve Strawberrys and Cream on the train. Also in the video saw 4 recently outshopped coaches, 3 being of Great Western design (bachmann collett designed coaches in GWR chocolate and cream colours, running with Dapol fruit van in GWR brown) and the Pullman Mk1 Saloon (a Bachmann Pullman Mk1 dining coach which is used as a saloon coach which can be hired out for private use, as seen in this video)

Sorry i've not posted a DVR video in a while, from broken fingers to dodgey trackwork have meant i've had to keep cancelling videos, now my fingers fixed and the track problems sorted we can be back to normal!

@andyfriarsjunc The 28xx's are fantastic!!! very strong, great detail and are very good value (got mine from ebay £88 brand new) so i'm well happy with it

@BMR5ify Thanks! I may get a couple more of the bachmann mk1 pullmans as they are very good models, doesn't look too bad at the head of a few standard coachs though haha
