She's of no help after this quest anyway. The only thing she has after this is if you bring a note from his late dad she give you her gun.
Just go to rivet city, talk to the guy in the museum he'll tell ya what you need. Get it and cash it for some caps.

once you get to DC past the Washington monument , past the museum of history there will be a building called the national archives, thats where this video starts. Help her here and take her to rivet city.
