Teresa Butz, a native of St. Louis, and her fiancee were raped in their Seattle home by a stranger. She and her fiancee were also stabbed in the brutal assault.
Theresa died.
Shortly thereafter, friends and family created The Angel Band Project.
Their CD "Take you with me" features a compilation of songs performed by Teresa's musically gifted family including Teresa's partner, a Boston Conservatory-trained singer, and Teresa's brother, Tony Award® winner Norbert Leo Butz.

Family, friends, donors and the yoga community came together for "Yoga for a Cause".
Practice was set to the music of The Angel Band Project's benefit CD "Take you with me".
The event was a huge success with the studio filled to capacity
Proceeds from the event went to The Voices and Faces Project, a nonprofit benefitting survivors of sexual violence.
