also if you don't have a long stride to home don't you normally throw the ball high

but what if you a small guy like myself and you need all the power of your body behind the ball and you cant really rely on arm stength. I use a strong fron foot kick high and long planting foot

it doesnt matter how high you lift your leg...it matters how far you stride..hence the slide step from the stretch...a high leg kick really isn't that necessary...it about comfort and explosiveness from the push off leg and a long strong stride from the plant leg
