The film portrays the intense and extraordinary life of Carlo Petrini, an Italian professional football player of the seventies. In 1968, at the age of 19, he had his first experience with doping, just a few months before his debut in Serie A, with AC Milan. Petrini talks about the first big scandal in the Italian Serie A; the illegal bets and his personal involvement in two fixed matches; the scams of Juventus in an effort to avoid any disciplinary action; the political movements that led to a long suspension that virtually ended his career. Deep in debt with dangerous mafiosi, he flees abroad, and remains in exile until he is hit by a tragedy that changes his life.
