  • I've seen Crows copy the same feeding behaviour.

  • Interesting. I've never seen any corvids picking at snails... but I wouldn't put it past them, they're clever, adaptable birds! Perhaps you've seen the film of crows in Japan that drop nuts on pedestrian crossings so that cars run over and crush them? They then wait to safely collect the bits when people press the button and cross the road!

  • Yes, I saw that film. Incredible how birds adapt to their environment. A perfect example that proves the term 'bird brain' is a misnomer.
