  • Kerkol, I mainly use ash, but many other woods are suitable. I have also used scots pine, slow grown stuff. Have a look at my blog to find out more

    spoonerismer I leave them as they are, no oil. Sometimes I stain them with light fast stains.

  • Firstly, I would like to say well done for posting this on YouTube - such an unselfish act. If we don't share our skills for other generations to learn they will be forgotten or worse, lost to time. I have made one so far - which turned out OK. When I get more time I will experiment more. Secondly, I like the way you use your carving axe, for one moment I thought I was watching a Japanese carver at work. Keep up the good work.
