The Complete Malcolm X on DVD: http://malcolmxfiles.blogspot.com/

"We are Africans, and we happen to be in America. We are not Americans. We are a people who formerly were Africans who were kidnaped and brought to America. Our forefathers weren't the Pilgrims. We didn't land on Plymouth Rock; the rock was landed on us. We were brought here against our will; we were not brought here to be made citizens. We were not brought here to enjoy the constitutional gifts that they speak so beautifully about today. Because we weren't brought here to be made citizens--today, now that we've become awakened to some degree, and we begin to ask for those things which they say are supposedly for all Americans, they look upon us with a hostility and unfriendliness."

  • @LilCoppa There is no "back to Africa", we've never been there. Our African roots were stolen from us. However, if we had our own land and adequate funding, truth be told, majority of blacks would probably still be much better off if we could indeed separate ourselves from the oppressive and increasingly wicked American society.

  • Im white and I have to say I love the power this man has in his voice! Very very good speaker and passion and meaning in what he says, unfortunately it seems not much has changed since he was speaking then, you guys are still kilking each other over colours, drugs and other bullshit, there are rifts between "ngrs" and AA's and working together to better your people seems to be a one way street! Start putting money back into your own communities people, spend at AA's businesses etc work together!

  • @muulka

this guy didn't need an audience track. people were more than happy to clap and applaud for him.

  • @AlexBrasil123123 Nothing at all- I just noticed it. I have nothing against it if it is canned. Just seemed too abrupt tbh.

  • @muulka

what are you trying to imply?

  • Does the applause seem slighly like canned laughter to anyone else?

  • Not all black are from African slaves..many are Hebrew Israelites...do your research.

  • Mayhap by telling the truth? More than half of black children are living in poverty, more than 70% to single parents and one of the lowest income ratios to whites just because blacks are not "applying" themselves...go back through each generation and you will see where it leads--various government actions and inactions since slavery...the problem will never be solved by continuing to ignore the big ass elephant in the room

  • A stable home environment, activities to prevent idleness, an emphasis on education--more often than not are missing in the average black child's life...if only it was as simple as people like "summer..." believe...at what point on a circle do you start? These children more often than not are products of their enviroment grow to produce children--a vicious cycle that is a bitch to break...again where do you start?

  • On average, kids are pretty much even in learning up until about the 4th grade or so...some with socio-economic problems that could disrupt any child's learning...we ALL know these problems are manifested in higher percentages among black kids...so with the same issues, what happens at this age?? Kids become aware that life is not fair--all of the opportunities that the average white parent can bestow on their children to give them a chance to become productive members of society (cont)

  • Oh, and one more thing... People should check out two nationally renowned economists; Milton Friedman and Thomas Sowell. I believe their teachings on economics can be the basis for giving people the knowledge to improve whatever their situation may be. Friedman and Sowell are featured in many videos on Youtube.

  • Last PT/ Don't let anybody tell you that you're being opressed and therefore that's why your being held back. Sure, the government has policies in place that are not exactly beneficial to the people but they effect everyone regardless of race. To put the blame on someone else is to reject responsibility. It's time to realize that change starts with yourself and that no one else can make change for you.
