Its shocking to see how much better the players of today are ...
-
the habs were a super team, they would have won no matter what... 70-12... 72-10... 71-13...64-21... 4 cups, two sweeps, pure domination...
-
Rick Macleish was injured as well for the finals , had they both been in the lineup it would have made a difference .

That's a pretty biased assessment. The only surprise is why you didn't say the Flyers would have won the series if they had Parent.
-
@weeszel The series would have been MUCH closer if Bernie Parent was in the Philly net...and this is not from a Flyers fan but a Bruins fan. No doubt Dryden was the best goaltender of the 70's but Parent wasn't far behind. Wayne Stevenson wasn't in the same class and Philly suffered for it. If Parent was in net, it would have gone to 7 games and that last one would have been a toss-up. Remember, the Flyers, and not the Canadiens had won the previous 2 Coup de Stanley.

@winyguy You're right. I knew they were one goal games but, I wasn't sure whether or not they went into OT
-
@Seed88 The First Two Games Did Not Go Into Overtime.
-
Why did they give Schultz 2 extra?
-
Jari Kurri also scored 19 in the 84-85 playoffs, so Leach has part of the record.

@420rulezz Who's your pharmacist? I loved Reggie too, but at this point in time, I love hallucinations even more.....

I'm wondeing how good of a series this would have been if the Flyers had a healthy Bernie Parent. If I'm not mistaken the first two games in Montreal went to overtime. Im guessing the Flyers win at least one of those two games if they have Parent. Then you are talking about a whole different series. I think the series at least goes six games if the Flyers have Parent. It's a shame because it would have been nice to see Parent go head to head with Ken Dryden
