that horse looks a little lame.

I bought this horse and he moves just fine. He has a naturally slow hock which is what is considered a western lope. Yes, he bobs his head but that is just because he is hollowing his back in this video and not completely underneath himself. His hock looks like that when he's playing in the pasture. Go watch some of the Congress & World Show videos and see how your opinion adds up to the results. So how about you go ride your ranch horses & get off everyone elses? Thanks :)

You people need to relax. Who gives a shit how she trains her horse. Her horse looks great and its not easy to train them like that.

That horse is NOT built to naturally lope. Your stupid for forcing your horse into such movement it cannot perform correctly. That lope is all sorts of unnatural and messed up.
-
it looks like their limping when they lope like that. dont they like going fast!? haha
-
it does look correct, it does have three beats. it looks like its young and just getting control of head and neck.
-
That lope is what I call an artificial western lope....NOT what you'd normally see...not the right number of beats.....yet some horse people like it more...it seems to me that it's hurting the horse:(

is it just me or does your horses lope look a bit funny?

Beautiful horse. I ride western too :P It took me and my horse forever to get a lope like that :P
Ok....getting alot of flack on this......how natural is it to do dressage, or jump 5 feet or have a human on their backs....the western gate is supposed to be slow..and yes some of them can go slow naturally and some are better built to move out.....if you want to show western pleasure they have to go slow...how would that look ...flying around the ring passing everyone...it is what it is....
