@timmalacontagem All most all US states were named by people from Europe. Do you even know what Cherokee means, and what tribe it comes from? Something can carry a name borrowed from aboriginals, but be a very bad pronunciation and the meaning of the word can mean something different than the person who thought it sounded cool thought it mean. Cherokee is a creek word it simple means the other people the Europeans where other people to them as well. I live in Texas it is an aboriginal word wh

I guess why the amerinds are called red. It is due to their traditional/war paint. Some brazilian aboriginal tribes also use this kind of paint, they extract from a plant called urucum. By the way, what material/plant do the north american tribes use/used to paint their face and bodies (black, white and red colors)?

@Pooternackle5 Old-growth tropical forests are not a renewable resource. Replanting is done with the monoculture planting of species such as Eucalyptus and Palm. The destruction in species diversity is enormous. Western culture is extremely short sighted and reckless. We scoff at the science behind global warming, spill oil into the Gulf of Mexico and hope for the best. Here in the US it took thousands of years to grow old-growth forest and little more that 100 years to destroy 90% of them.

@Pooternackle5 What planet do you live on Poot? You are being disrespectful of other cultures and inaccurate in your information. Tropical deforestation is a big problem which is harming indigenous people and their sustainable way of life. Logging in Papau New Guinea and other tropical countries is being carried out by large western and Japanese logging firms. Tropical forests are also being destroyed to benefit the palm oil industry. I would suggest grinding your ax on another site.

@Pooternackle5 We may be rich in material wealth but at what cost? We are destroying the environment, we lack a spiritual connection to the Earth and we have abandoned our responsibility for the seventh generation. The result is lives full of things but empty of meaning. I'd rather kids went on wilderness vision quests than sit in the basement playing video games all day. The bottom line is we can learn from each other.

Cherokee Warriors, may the Creator Bless them.No fancy feathers, no BS. Just cut the tail off your horse, get semi-nekid and kill your enemy.Simple & effective. Still works today.

Thank you. We will definately continue to do so. For when the next generations will have something to live for
I'll lived in the white world for a long time in the military and tech fields. It would seem that our people is still being looked at poorly by the white world. Since my family has lost connection to the old ways I ask you to please keep them alive.

Thank you for doing your part to revive a stolen culture! LOL I wonder how much inspiration our Native forefathers gave the American football players? The U.S.A. does have Native roots it does not matter how many try to say its not so. The evidence is all around us!
