  • Wow!!! This is a really smokin' performance. Great sound and great mixing as well. I was lucky enough to hear them back in the day, but never got to see how smooth they seemed live. If there's even a slim chance that they might do it all again, then I won't miss seeing them perform. That rare glimpse of a group of Troubadors describing life is something I don't want to miss.

  • @flapjackhank They are putting the bank back together. Bob has said that 2011 will see the 'Rainmaker's 25 On' project; a new album and a tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the group. Keep an eye on the band's website and forum for all the details.

  • The Rainmakers were the great lost band in the history of rock.

  • Bob, Rich, Pat and Jeff Porter will be recording a NEW Rainmakers album this winter and doing shows next spring for the 25th anniversary of the band. Bob even promises to but some ROCK back in his music for the project! Spread the word....

  • Could kick myself for missing out on their concert in Oslo this spring. Happy again now, just learned that they are coming back to Norway in january! :-)

Hoping for an accoustic version of Small circles, like they did on the live album Oslo-Wichita.

  • Love this version of the song...but think the slower more acoustic version from I think Greatest hits....kicks its @ss (sorry just more soulful )

but oh god, and look at all that hair !!! =)

  • Love this version of the song... on either greatest hits (I think) or Oslo to Witchita...

Oh god, and look at all that hair !!! =)

  • @LithiumTheKid Bob never played the game or sucked up to anyone, and that is the sole reason he's not a huge star today. One of the best songwriters of all time.

  • @Malocclusiontenfour Amazing band that deserve much more credit. Great music, passion, lyrics but they not kiss ass like all the Satanic bum lickers you see now. Eat your heart out Lady Gaga

  • Being from a small town in Missouri, this song rings so true with me. Mid 1970's just out of High School, hanging around town, makin' a little money haulin' hay before I headed off to College. This song certainly was that summer. Hard work, fun, friends I knew I might never see again..

  • Still can't believe that this lot didn't make it huge. Wonderful band. First 3 albums are as good as anything I own. Tuneful, witty, top notch. Now, off to find The One That Got Away...

  • @ku5288 LoL yeah not just any celtic band The Elders been with them for years.

  • @Shelbysolo

Steve has gone to play for a celtic band here in kansas city

  • I think I saw this on television. I was in England in 1986. Being from Kansas City, it was really odd to see a band that I had seen in the UMKC Student Union on British TV.
