Gaming With The Girls Episode #14: Centipede
By: Atari
Released: 1980
Style: Arcade
Centipede is a vertically-oriented shoot 'em up arcade game produced by Atari in 1980. The game was designed by Ed Logg along with Dona Bailey, one of the few female game programmers in the industry at the time. (Yeah For Girls!) It was also the first arcade coin-operated game to have a strong female following!
I remember playing Centipede on a computer in my Dad's some time in the 80's. Man I just remembered that thanks to this video, awesome.

Did you know that Centipede was programmed by a woman? Dona Bailey--definitely ahead of her time and not afraid to jump into an industry dominated (then and now) by men. Nice work!
