  • Another great Mel Kaufman tune, "Frisky" can be heard on a CD of a huge Wurlitzer model 34A PianOrchestra orchestrion, available from Chris Carlisle's Bandorganmusic website. The Wurlitzer roll arrangers really make that tune shine!

  • This (as well as "Yah-De-Dah") is another great Mel Kaufman tune... he really had a knack for writing simple yet catchy and interesting stuff that the early rag-jazz groups (and music roll arrangers) latched onto and filled out with abandon!

There's a great player piano roll of this tune, available on the Johnny Maddox LP "World's Greatest Piano Rolls Vol. 1" which turns up on Ebay from time to time.

  • Do you have the Frisco Jass band version of "Night Time in Little Italy"?

Thank you for sharing this great recording.
