I have a desktop in which sata controller went bad so cant use it at all Done all the testing and troubleshooting and were sure its the case ..Perhaps the caps looked bad So is network booting the best option? is it reliable and still pretty responsive? ....Noob questions im sure Thanks for any advice that any one can help with prefer win 7

what os to run iscsi target? did u used linux? freenas or open filer?

@truzoids Yes, it is a Linux. Debian Squeeze to be precise.
