Top Iranian opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi is warning that Tehran's government will not be able to put down the reform movement by force, and he says he is not afraid to become a martyr. In a statement posted on opposition Web sites Friday, the reformer says jailing or killing opposition leaders will not calm the situation. VOA's Ravi Khanna has details.

  • If the regime is not run by murderous corrupt hypocrtical cowards who claim not to shoot protesters, why does Janati need a rifle to give a speech?

    Look at his body guard / assistant put the rifle by his podium before his speech.

    Khamenei is richer than the Shah was, he and his family have $36 billion dollars in investments, propertie, oil revenue commissions, cash, and gold.

    $18.5 billion was confiscated by Turkish customs last year when they attempted to take the money out of the country.
