I prefer the old fashion flash back in the old days when everytime you flash, it explodes!

Thank you so much Mr. Steele for putting this video, this is exactly what I was looking for. Keep up the good work.

How about 580EX vs 580EX II? Their is very little detailed info on the differences and what they really mean.
-
If I recall you just have to hold the zoom button for 2 seconds to place the 430exII in slave mode. Is this really that much harder?

@itzJoePeezy no, buy an LED lamp from ebay..

Is it possible to leave the light on for night time video recording? Let's say like at a bar or a club? I'm fairly new to this so bare with me.

@itzJoePeezy - Now it is. Canon just released a new 320EX flash with a built-in continuous LED light for video recording. It doesn't use the main flash tube, just a small extra LED that is embedded in the body of the flash. I hope to do a full review of this new flash soon.

hey nice review! Which is a better single strobe for off camera shooting? 580 exII or 430 exII? will the 430 exII enough?

@blackrmc - The 430EX and 430EX II are both perfect for off-camera use. You can use the more expensive 580EX of course, but frankly you're wasting money to do that. The 430EX II also puts out less radio frequency noise, so it's a better rAll around great flash for off-camera lighting.
