@mypalrocco The house was given back to its residents after the movie was shot, and in time it was chopped up and divided into rental units. Everything was lost and nothing was preserved. They tried their best to bring it back.

they tried a sequel, and it just didnt have the same feel. Kinda funny, but the fact they never show it pretty much says it all. they involved the bumpis's next door, tried to exapnd on it, but this is one movie that cant be remade or sequeled, its a combo that cant be duplicated. The father is dead, kids grown, its a one of a kind.

@redwngs82, two points:
One, only the exterior of the house was used in filming the original movie. The scenes inside the house were filmed at Magder Studios in Toronto, Canada. Most of the other scenes were shot at locations in and around Toronto. The scenes in & around Higbee's were shot in & around the real Higbee's in Cleveland.
Two: Calling someone a "tard" is not only extremely offensive, but reflects very badly on YOU when YOU'RE the one who's got their facts wrong.
