To anyone (including previous commenters) who thinks he was being abusive, do watch the entire video... "Heifetz Masterclass 1." The student and accompanist laughed, and Heifetz went on to joke about the student being slightly careless with his bow- "You might lose it one of these days! And if you do that, I don't know- I don't think you'll be able to save it!" As if he would drop his bow during the performance. They were laughing! He may have been rude in other situations, but not here. :)

I don't get why you guys are so critical of Heifetz's comment. Are you saying that it's not nice to end together? I thought his comment was perfect. Dry and contained. What else would you want?
