The Crow Epistemology is a simple concept that states human minds are finite and can only deal with a certain number of things at a time. How many?...

  • Brandon, as a grad student in cognitive science ('89-92) I studied "multiple target tracking". I developed an experiment that allowed me to determine that most subjects could track (in steeply descending order of reliability) 3, 4, or 5 identical moving objects distinguishable from others only by their positions. I'd be happy to show you some of the displays, and to discuss the research, if you're interested. Google: mckeever pylyshyn

  • That is fascinating. I read some of the info and results at findarticles[dot]com. Its good to know there is an updated version of the crow experiment.

  • Kant was a moron. That has nothing to do with this video, it just neeed to be said.

  • Watch part 3 of the German jihaad for a fair run-down of Kant's main gimmick.

  • In short, the human mind is subjected to VALUE OVERLOAD... which is called the Crow of Epistemology

  • His head is huge and observaions devine.

I'm prelearning about epist-a-me offagy. Why is pilosophy all about limitting and figuring out a wy to rule..

And guy I got ADHD..I watch 2 tvs at once with an extra one fallout 3 for my 360 while listening to howard stern on my sirius satelite radio...And my laptop going with infor about the game or something else. However when it comes to doing a single task I can get overly caught up.. Such and awkward disorder..And such a stupid subject.roflmfao

  • Don't confuse Crow Epistemology with memory. CE basicilly asserts, correctly, btw, that the human mind can't read more than four words at a time, or conceptualize more than four numbers at a time. Cropper's Roman Numeral example is a perfect illustration.

    Which is easier to grasp:

IIIIIIIIII, or 10? That's Crow Epistemology.

  • i call myself the crow

  • The best speeches I've given can be summed up as:

Tell 'em what you're going to say.

    Say it.

Then tell 'em what you said.

Anything more complicated than that is more than the crowd can absorb. I fault the communist take over of our school system.

  • What the hell is a thickie? If it means stupid, I've read all of Ayn Rand's fiction and her four main non-fiction books that outline her philosophy.

  • That might probably explain why Objectivism isn't for thickies.

  • What about John Galt's speech? It definitely had more than 3-5 points, but it is all in 1 speech.
