1948 Kenworth XW-1. The very last highway coach produced by Kenworth. Sold new to NW Greyhound Lines (formally- North Coast Lines). Hall-Scott 190 Engine, Spicer 4 speed Transmission, Torsion Suspension. This coach was sold by Greyhound to a private party in 1955 and was retrieved from the woods after 40 years of non use and is the only one known left in existence. Added to our collection for future restoration.
@DeserTBoB93535 Still this bus is a one of a kind. Im not promoting bus restorations >_>

@imfercho ...but pigs to operate. A Hall-Scott 190, depending on HP rating, was good for maybe 2-3 MPG, tops, while a GM PD-4103 was good for at least 7 with the 2 valve heads and S injectors. Those Hall-Scotts could sure turn out the power, though!

@TehScouter Anyone who thinks that saving and old bus is somehow a money-making proposition is just plain crazy. Buses are a HUGE money pit. You have to be dedicated to get into that hobby!

Thanks for saving its life!! I would love to search the junk yards and find an old bus to bring it back to life.
