Damn I cried unad screamd as a kid xD But I did it actually after some weeks. Nowadays it isn't so hard for me than back then. Still love it and its music, can't compare to the videogame music of today.

In regards to that first part: No. "Alter-ego" means "different form of the same person", something that Wario and Mario never actually were.
