Russia crushes Georgia

It has been a few monthes now sense Georgia was crushed...its important to not that even though the USA prmoised to help Georgia in an event of this type ...uncle sam NEVER CAME! lol

Russia goes into Georgia and destroys military targets for 5 days and leaves. This is a legit war. Americans go in to iraq and afghanistan and stay for many years bombing everything and killing everyone. That is an occupation

I dont think you understand the point, there is big difference between puting forward claims as excuses to go to war, for whatever reasons and retaliating against an attack, which was the case in this war, I want to remind you that Georgia used artillery to destroy a Russian peacekeeper base, killing dozens of soldiers, if such actions dont justify a retaliation, then I dont know what does.

And NO the USA has never been defeated by your standards, but Russia was certainly never defeated because of all the territory it lost after WWI. And the US HAS has experience, and from that experience and weapons tech, there's no question. Britain was the strongest in 1770's but America still won independance.

But I do doubt that the US has the strongest military now, because you can't tell who's stronger BEFORE the conflict. Time shows it AFTER. Nobody anticipated the US could be technically defeated in Vietnam with stuff it had. Same story with the USSR in Afganistan. My only point is that YOU CAN'T TELL who's stronger THEORETICALLY, you have to see PRACTICE.

@33FSB So, by your standars, the USA has not been defeated either. Like the Phillipines and Cuba, we granted them independence. And their's no doubt that the US has the strongest military on the planet as of right now, but that doesn't count for much five or ten years from now.
