  • My aunt and uncle have I think 98, with over 300K miles on it, no serious repairs on it that I know of, and it still runs great.

  • @tubageek2006 You can get an FM modulator that is basically a box that goes between the antenna and radio, when turned on it puts out a signal on a station that is strong enough that it over powers whatever else might be com in along on that frequency and you get nice sound. I've got one in my truck, works great.

  • @uxwbill I tend to share his taste in nice cars/trucks as well, he picked a good one this time for sure!

  • nice, i'm 21 and my dad sold me his 2001 grand marquis with 36k miles for $3k!!

  • @MOTERHEAD69 The difference is in the kind of cars we had. The Keykeeper actually has cars that people would want, with the exception of the BBPOJ. I've had all sorts of unroadworthy wrecks.

  • @BonhommeRichard91 Uhhhhhh...I may do a lot of things, but wearing makeup isn't one of them.

  • uxwbill can check his makeup in those vanity mirrors.

  • @doogals99 amen

  • @NJRoadfan One of these days we might fix the heated seats in the Volvo. Pads are readily available for that. I think the problem in my mother's Park Avenue is not the heating pad, but the relay that switches it. I think it has burnt contacts.

I don't like opening sun/moon roofs in cars.

  • @OldTimeForties While these things are usually fine for home use, most of them have a few problems in the car. First, the output level is usually low. This results in turning up the volume to compensate. Secondly, a moving car can enter an area where the chosen frequency is no longer quiet--or a signal momentarily appears from nowhere. Either way, the result is a sudden and startling loud noise from the radio.

Removing the antenna mast helps but is not always practical.
