Marshall Dillon had squat on Paladin! Have Gun, Will Travel was the best.

The commentator suggested that Palidan was a hired gun with flexible morals depending on his financial needs - did this kid ever watch the show?

The radio show flopped? No, it ran until 1961! The scripts were not only used for the first 6 years of Gunsmoke the TV hsow, but some of the hour long show used bits of them!
I was a kid, always looking forward to Twlight Zone and Have Gun and Andy Griffith and Dick Van Dyke...man, great shows on CBS back then! It was the best time for TV!

Perhaps where Paladin roams now he doesn't need a gun! I loved this show and Richard boone's acting.
