Sound Mirrors

Brief documentation of Disinformation's Sound Mirrors video - "Blackout" by Barry Hale, made in 1997 - as exhibited at Quay Arts on the Isle of Wight, Feb-March 2004. Quay Arts rolled back the seats and turned over their entire cinema / theatre space to exhibit this work (with the other Disinformation installations appearing in the Quay gallery). The shadow of former Quay Arts curator Jo Johnson makes a brief cameo during this sequence. Special thanks to Bronac Ferran and Tony White.

Since "Blackout" the Kentish Sound Mirrors featured in the hugely popular BBC TV + Open University "Coast" series and in the "How We Built Britain" series presented by David Dimbleby.
