Why is there such a shortage of Nick Heyward videos on YouTube? I appreciate the audio track, but I would prefer to see the visual stimuli. Is there anybody out there with the actual footage? Rant over: I always thought this was a perfectly pleasant song that is melodically pretty. It was frustrating to watch NH be ignored during the latter half of the 80's!
Surely the more pressing question is (well, for me anyway) where can one hear the acoustic demo or... remake? The demo would (hopefully) let one enjoy the pretty Monkees-Headquarters style verse & bridge without all the putrid 80's sound and arranging (that electric guitar player is beyond redemption).
The remake is a more interesting proposition though; in that, with his rediscovered sense of taste (and decency!), he would surely write a new chorus.
I think he's pretty "great" too but this tune? This long-suffering Heyward fiend sees it (him!) like this...
"Pelican"/"North" - Brilliant
For the rest of the 80's ("Love All Day" - "I Love You Avenue") - With a few exceptions (very few) horrible over-produced synthetic 80's horror (especially "Laura").
"From Monday" - A bit Crowded House but on the right track.
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!! What a pleasant memory; I remember me buying the 12" vinyl at London's Trocadero HMV back in the 80s'. I also remmeber that Nick in the original clip was driving a beautiful red Merc convertible "Pagoda". Great artist, sadly under-rated by most people.. but who cares?? He's just great, period!!! Thankxx 4 posting
I was curious about that too, why are there such a shortage of Nick Heyward videos on YouTube? He's one of my favs of the 80's and I am from USA

"Tangled" & 90's B-sides - Back to his best
"Apple Bed" - Could do better.
