Can you Post a video showing how you did the whole setup?
I would like to setup one personally.
Thanks

You cannot run Windows XP on it. The device uses a RISC processor, not an X86 processor that you have in your computer.

What can you use this for? As a car computer? What applications are compatible? I was thinking of using it with a Mimo monitor and running GPS, music and video, car diagnostics, etc. Is this possible?

Well done.

@diabolicalheaven they are in the process of developing a d2 that will have dvi built in. It was scheduled for july 2011, but didn't make it and they don't have a ship date yet due to some delay with Marvell. check out globalscapetechnologies for info. (I have 6 dreamplugs and they are great, but I wasn't able to get video to work on them-- but I don't need it right now...)

Where are there "BASIC Instructions" on how to run this thing natively when you take it out of the box? I've got an older version (Model 003-SP1001) and I've yet to use it.

@mememe84 i think the potential of it will be similiar to an ipad later in developement but i'm guessing, it's easy to carry a full computer in your pocket and you can do alot with it unlike ipad or ipods wish i had one :(

@mememe84 You can run a web server 24/7 on only 10 watts. Can run NoteShare Linux software from AquaMinds to have a quick and dirty website in minutes that customized simply.

can you install debian on this?
Any support for parallel port?
maybe through any express card? is it supported?
Thanks

You'd need a USB to Parallel Port adapter, I'm sure they exist. Also would need to ensure there are linux drivers available.

very nice!
how big is your sd card?
do you know how much power the total system consumes?

I'm just using a 2 gig card, there's over a gig left on it will ubuntu and all the X and gnome stuff. The OS takes up < 100MB of RAM and there's 512MB on the device, so plenty to run several apps at once.
