Raptures in Garissa after town gets new Mayor

Narcs Mohammed Gabow is the new mayor of Garissa. Gabow edged out Mohammed Yusuf Kuno in a tough contest that drew emotions from town residents. Celebrations immediately rocked the Northern Kenyan town as residents sang and danced in the streets cheering on their new mayor. Gabow scooped the seat after an attempt by the former mayor to move the election date was rejected by the court. There are allegations that the former mayor Yusuf Kuno had also attempted to bribe some civic leaders to vote in his favour. Other leaders who made it to the council were Ismail Garat who is the deputy mayor and Ahmed Dahir who now holds the Finance Docket.

We are one of many Kenyan tribes and we are proud to be Kenyans. By the way it is only us who can decide our destiny and we are happy as it is.

Brothers from Somalia should be grateful though, we are hosting more than one million Somali refugees in NFD for the last 18 years. We have given them, save heaven away from the deadly civil war in their country. We provided them education, feed them, treat their traumatised children and bury their dead ones in our soil.
